Please be advised that there will be significant service disruptions on parts of the JR Yamanote Line and the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line this weekend, Saturday, April 19th, and Sunday, April 20th, 2025, due to track switching construction work near Tamachi Station. This work is in preparation for the new Haneda Airport Access Line.

Yamanote Line
Saturday, April 19th:
Outer Loop (clockwise): Service will be suspended all day between Ueno Station, Tokyo Station, and Osaki Station.
Inner Loop (counter-clockwise): While there will be no complete suspension on this loop, train frequency will be reduced to approximately 70-80% of the normal weekend/holiday schedule between Osaki Station, Tokyo Station, and Ueno Station.
Sunday, April 20th:
Inner and Outer Loops: Service will be suspended between Osaki Station, Tokyo Station, and Ueno Station from the first train until around 12:00 PM (noon).
After the suspension is lifted (around noon), expect reduced service on the entire Yamanote Line for the remainder of the day.
Keihin-Tohoku Line
Saturday, April 19th:
Service will be suspended all day between Higashi-Jujo Station and Shinagawa Station.
Omiya to Higashi-Jujo: Trains will operate at approximately 60-80% of the normal frequency.
Shinagawa to Kamata: Trains will operate at approximately 70-100% of the normal frequency. Importantly, Rapid services will be suspended entirely on this day.
Sunday, April 20th:
Service will be suspended between Higashi-Jujo Station and Shinagawa Station from the first train until around 12:00 PM (noon).
Omiya to Higashi-Jujo: Trains will operate at approximately 60-80% of the normal frequency.
Shinagawa to Kamata: Trains will operate at approximately 70-100% of the normal frequency. Again, Rapid services will be suspended entirely on this day.

If you are traveling to Haneda Airport this weekend, please be especially mindful of these suspensions and reduced services. Allow for extra travel time and consider alternative routes.
